Sexual Harassment Law in India is currently governed by the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and Sexual the Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Rules, 2013. The act and rules extends to all types of organization’s including NGOs, hospitals, organization’s and companies.

The other relevant guidelines that pertain to Sexual Harassment Law are the University Grants Commission (Prevention, prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment of women employees and students in higher educations institutions) regulations, 2015. These are applicable to all the higher educational institutions in India.
