On 12 September 2026, AIIMAS – Association for India International Mediation and Arbitration Services, in collaboration with SHLC – Sexual Harassment Law Compliance Advisory, conducted a one-day PoSH Training Programme in New Delhi focused on workplace safety, compliance and effective prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace.
The programme was facilitated by Adv. Jaya Goyal, Managing Partner, Neo Juris LLP, Advocates & Solicitors, and Ms. Aparajita Amar, Advocate & Founder, SHLC. Their combined legal and professional perspectives brought a practical dimension to discussions on PoSH compliance, workplace conduct and organisational responsibilities.
The programme brought together professionals from diverse backgrounds for focused discussions on workplace sexual harassment prevention, PoSH compliance and effective redressal mechanisms.
The training was designed to move beyond a purely theoretical understanding of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, commonly known as the PoSH Act. Through practical discussions and interactive learning, participants explored how the legal framework can be translated into responsible workplace practices and structured complaint-handling processes.
The sessions also highlighted that PoSH compliance is not simply a statutory requirement. Effective prevention and redressal require workplace awareness, accountability, appropriate internal processes and organisational commitment.
The workshop provided an opportunity to examine the practical aspects of PoSH compliance and workplace safety, including the responsibilities that arise within organisations when addressing workplace sexual harassment concerns.
Discussions focused on the importance of having appropriate mechanisms for prevention, complaint handling and redressal, while also reinforcing the role of legal and workplace professionals in contributing to safe, respectful and dignified work environments.
The interactive format encouraged participants to consider how legal requirements under the PoSH Act can be incorporated into day-to-day organisational practices rather than being treated solely as a documentation or policy exercise.
The programme was honoured by the presence of Hon’ble Justice Dr. Sudhir Kumar Jain as the Chief Guest.
PoSH compliance extends beyond constituting an Internal Committee (IC) or implementing a workplace policy. Effective prevention and redressal require awareness, appropriate processes, responsible implementation and a sustained commitment to workplace respect.
The programme concluded as an enriching learning experience, reinforcing the importance of continued PoSH training, workplace awareness and organisational commitment to safe and respectful workplaces.
AIIMAS and SHLC remain committed to promoting greater awareness of PoSH law, workplace safety and responsible compliance through practical learning and professional engagement.
